Community Clean Up - May 2, 2026

When: Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 1 PM to 3 PM

Where: Rosenthal Playground (1070 Rosenthal Blvd.). Please check in at the registration table to sign in and get your clean up kits.

Let's unite to tackle litter in our neighbourhood! Grab your gloves and join us for a community-wide clean up effort.

We'll provide refreshments and all the necessary clean up supplies. Just bring your energy and enthusiasm to help make our streets and parks litter-free! Please plan to dress for whatever conditions we end up with, this is a rain or shine event.

Together, let's keep our community clean and beautiful!

Rosenthal Community Big Bin Event

Community Big Bin & Donation Event

The Rosenthal Community League (ERCL) will host a Rosenthal Community Bin Event in the parking lot for the Lewis Farms Rec Center construction offices. The event may conclude earlier if all bins reach capacity.

When: Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 9 AM to 1 PM

Where: 6210 Rosenthal Way NW (PCL Construction Offices Parking Lot)

Big Bin Disposal (Members Only): Reserved for Rosenthal Community League members to dispose of household items (furniture, yard waste, etc.). A valid membership is required and can be purchased online in advance.

Donations & E-Waste (Open to All): We invite the entire community to drop off electronic waste, clothing, and gently used household goods. In additional, PCL has partnered with Sports Central and is collecting used sports equipment.

Accepted Materials:

Household furniture items (e.g., couches, chairs)
Dry yard waste, including branches not exceeding 1.2 meters (4 feet) by 0.75 meters (2.5 feet) in diameter.
Lawnmowers (please ensure all fuel has been removed)
Scarp metal
Small household or office electronics (e.g., computers, televisions, etc., will be recycled)
Small household appliances (e.g. microwaves will be recycled)
Tires

Materials Not Accepted:

Mattresses
Household hazardous or organic waste (please utilize the nearest Eco Station)
Automotive waste (please utilize the nearest Eco Station )
Animal waste (litter and carcasses)
Biomedical waste
Commercial waste
Florescent tubes, ballasts containing PCBs (please utilize the nearest Eco Station)
Large appliances such as fridges, freezers, or stoves
Lithium-ion batteries
Pressurized tanks (propane, butane, polyurethan insulation, etc.)
Smoke and CO2 detectors
Wet yard waste, including sod, soil, leaves or grass clippings

The disposal of large items or unreasonable loads will be subject to the discretion of community league volunteers.

You are responsible for unloading your vehicle, so bring help if you need it.

Community-wide Garage Sale - May 2 & 3, 2026

When: Saturday, May 2 and Sunday 3, 2026 from 10 AM to 3 PM (recommended selling hours)

Where: Various homes throughout our community, rain or shine

Rosenthal residents are invited to participate in a community wide garage sale and the Rosenthal Community League will handle the advertising. If you would like to host a garage sale and be included in the advertising you must register before Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 11 PM.

Rain or shine come to Rosenthal on May 2 & 3 to get your thrift on. Make the most of your time by browsing different garage sales throughout the neighbourhood. (In 2025 there were 48 households that participated in our community-wide garage sale.)

SELLERS

Registration is required by April 28, 2026 in order to be included on the advertised map. If you miss registering you're still welcome to set up a garage sale and benefit from the high volume of shoppers in the community!

Sellers are responsible for managing the sale of items, including payments. Sellers are welcome to advertise their garage/business sale independently, but are requested to remove advertising at the end of the garage sale day.

Sportball in Rosenthal

We’re excited to announce that the Rosenthal Community League has partnered with Sportball Edmonton to offer fun and engaging summer sports programs for kids ages 2 to 8 !

These programs are designed to introduce young children to the basics of sports in a fun, non-competitive environment. Whether your child is new to sports or just looking to stay active this summer, Sportball’s programming is a great way to build confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills—all while having a blast!

Programs will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout July , right here in Rosenthal.

Rain or shine come to Rosenthal on May 3 & 4 to get your thrift on. Make the most of your time by browsing different garage sales throughout the neighbourhood. (In 2024 there were 37 households that participated in our community-wide garage sale.)

The Garage Sale map will be posted a few days before the garage sale with the location, selling hours, and type of items available at each garage sale.

Registration is required by April 29, 2025 in order to be included on the advertised map. If you miss registering you're still welcome to set up a garage sale and benefit from the high volume of shoppers in the community!

ERCL members can take advantage of this opportunity to responsibly dispose of unwanted household items, such as furniture and yard waste. Small electronics will be recycled. Goodwill Donation Drive will be onsite accepting unwanted clothing and gently used household items.
